This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +4 more countries.
β’ Review architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and consulting drawings to pinpoint coordination challenges, missing information, scope discrepancies, and constructability issues.
β’ Create trade-specific RFPs, bid packages, scope sheets, subcontract exhibits, and language for subcontractor scopes.
β’ Identify qualified subcontractors and vendors, distribute bid packages, manage follow-ups, and ensure proposals reach completion.
β’ Analyze subcontractor bids, reconcile exclusions and qualifications, and prepare recommendations for awards.
β’ Validate construction costs through market research, historical pricing, material quotes, subcontractor feedback, and cost comparisons.
β’ Identify value-engineering opportunities that minimize cost or schedule risk without unnecessarily compromising quality or design intent.
β’ Draft RFIs and coordinate outstanding questions with designers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal construction leadership.
β’ Support project budgets, procurement schedules, tracking of long-lead items, trade cost summaries, allowances, contingencies, general conditions, and risk items.
β’ Prepare well-organized project handoff packages for the superintendent and field team.
β’ As responsibilities grow, manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, design coordination, budgets, change orders, meetings, closeout processes, and action-item logs for active projects.
β’ Collaborate directly with the Director of Construction as a member of the clientβs project delivery team.
β’ 5+ years of experience in construction preconstruction, estimating, project engineering, or project management.
β’ Strong capability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and trade sequencing.
β’ Experience in preparing bid packages, leveling proposals, identifying scope gaps, and drafting clear scope narratives.
β’ Ability to assess multiple drawing disciplines for coordination, completeness, constructability, and risk.
β’ Excellent written communication skills for RFIs, bid instructions, subcontractor correspondence, meeting notes, and leadership summaries.
β’ Proficient understanding of project budgets, procurement, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change management, and construction documentation.
β’ Comfortable working independently in a remote position while remaining highly responsive, organized, and accountable.
β’ 7β10 years of construction experience with a proven track record of managing bid packages, scope development, budgeting, coordination, and project controls.
β’ Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, estimating software, or scheduling tools.
β’ Experience supporting restaurant tenant improvements, commercial renovations, faΓ§ade work, utility upgrades, mixed-use projects, ADUs, or ground-up construction.
β’ Knowledge of Los Angeles construction markets, subcontractor pricing, permitting considerations, or local trade conditions.
β’ Experience reviewing subcontractor change-order requests and compiling backup documentation for leadership review.
