Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer – Access Control, CCTV (REVIT, AUTOCAD)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver engineering design and support for security solutions catering to both new and existing clients.

• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Design, develop, and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and migrations.

• Evaluate field site survey documentation and provide technical assistance with RFI/RFP submissions.

• Generate solution design documentation, which includes drawings, bills of materials, and design summaries.

• Offer technical support to both in-office and on-site team members.

• Assist management in preparing documentation for the implementation of new technologies with both new and existing customers.

• Stay updated with current and emerging electronic security technologies and leading vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–7 years of relevant experience in the industry.

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

• Experience in designing and planning access control and video systems.

• Preferred professional Electronic Security certifications or training, including Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, and Milestone.

• Proficiency in Revit as the primary focus, along with required CAD skills (AutoCAD).

• Comprehensive understanding of electronic security technologies, including ACS, IDS, FDS, and CCTV.

• Familiarity with computer software/hardware, databases, and networking infrastructure.

• Capability to review architectural, electrical, telecommunication, and security engineering floor plans, riser diagrams, device schedules, and detail drawings.

• Ability to manage time and various tasks independently.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent presentation, writing, verbal, and written communication skills for customer interaction.

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe is preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, or Revit is a plus.
