This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the analysis of power market trends, conduct risk assessments, and monitor regulatory developments to provide insights that inform power marketing and origination strategies.
• Aid in the sourcing and execution offtake opportunities for utility-scale solar, energy storage, and hybrid projects.
• Contribute to the establishment of strategic partnerships with utilities and other load-serving entities concerning Power Purchase and Energy Storage Tolling agreements, as well as alternative revenue structures.
• Execute data analysis, market research, and cross-functional collaboration to prepare proposals and enhance origination strategies.
• Support client interactions and power marketing strategies throughout the United States.
• Oversee CRM platforms, RFP trackers, and pertinent business-tracking systems.
• Prepare or assist in the creation of presentations for executive and customer briefings.
• Track and summarize integrated resource and procurement plans of load-serving entities.
• Assess U.S. market opportunities, including renewable and energy storage RFPs, and maintain records for future reference.
• Coordinate the preparation of proposals for RFPs and bilateral opportunities.
• Monitor executed power purchase, tolling, build-transfer, and related agreements.
• Keep informed about RTO, market working groups, and trade associations for regulatory and market updates.
• Assist in modeling changes in market design and topology, evaluating their impact on procurement opportunities and future energy prices.
• Support the forecasting of nodal/zonal and OTC energy prices for RTO and bilateral markets using fundamental and third-party models.
• Participate in both internal and external meetings, clearly communicating findings.
• Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, sustainability, finance, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of relevant work experience in the regulatory or commercial sector of the electric utility industry.
• Experience with CRM applications and industry platforms such as F1, Procore, LevelTen, Aurora, NPM, or similar tools is advantageous.
• Completed coursework in power system analysis, power system economics, power system operations and planning, optimization, data analysis, or object-oriented programming; relevant work experience may also be accepted in lieu of coursework.
• A working knowledge of organized and bilateral electricity markets across the U.S., with familiarity with at least one ISO/RTO market preferred.
