This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Develop and execute the research and development deployment strategy for designated areas.
• Oversee one or more technical programs.
• Achieve technical and financial outcomes for programs.
• Manage succession strategies, staff recruitment, performance evaluation, and development planning at the program level.
• Identify skilled internal personnel and contractor teams.
• Choose contractors and formulate statements of work.
• Lead team efforts to achieve technical and financial objectives.
• Assess resource utilization to meet timelines and targets.
• Offer guidance to staff in accordance with company policies.
• Potentially oversee the program-level advisory framework.
• Present program activities to the Sector Council as required.
• Convert research, industry best practices, and digital enablement solutions into scalable implementation directives for varied power generation portfolios.
• An advanced degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience is required.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills in overseeing an R&D Program.
• Experience in funding, expenditure, and workforce planning within a program context.
• Proven experience in leading multiple staff members, including setting goals and managing performance.
• Established people management skills, including recruitment, hiring, talent development, and retention.
• Experience collaborating with member advisors to ensure engagement and guidance for members.
• High level of technical credibility in presenting program content, value propositions, and research findings.
• Familiarity with Sector programs, strategies, and values.
• Capacity to work independently without supervision.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of power generation asset management, maintenance optimization, equipment reliability, balance-of-plant systems, and fleet-wide asset management strategies.
• Experience with Risk-Based Asset Management (RBAM), reliability-centered maintenance, life-cycle decision making, and strategies for aging or decommissioning assets.
• Proficient in integrating CMMS, EAM, condition monitoring, and data analytics platforms.
