Power Generation Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute conventional electrical design engineering and analysis for power generation initiatives.

• Offer technical expertise on projects with low to medium complexity.

• Create, validate, and deliver technical outputs.

• Acquire and apply departmental design guidelines, standards, systems, engineering codes, and company protocols.

• Contribute to quality programs, continuous improvement efforts, and change management strategies.

• Grasp client objectives and relay them to project teams.

• Participate in and occasionally lead internal and external client meetings, conference calls, and site visits.

• Aid business development by supplying technical information for sales proposals.

• Assist project teams and clients with data inquiries, site visits, execution clarifications, and review of comments.

• Coordinate work details and task sequencing with other disciplines, staff members, project managers, and clients.

• Gather, compile, and manage engineering data.

• Research and recommend equipment and materials.

• Prepare contract documents, project documentation, studies, and intricate engineering calculations with minimal supervision.

• Identify and address issues within assigned areas or projects.

• Monitor budget, schedule, scope, and quality specifications.

• Provide input on project resource planning.

• Assist with contract administration and project management responsibilities.

• Accurately complete expense reports and timesheets in a timely manner.

• Help develop project scope-of-work packages, including scope, schedule, and budget.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory.

• Preferred: 3+ years of direct experience in Power Generation.

• Related work experience showcasing continuous growth and knowledge development.

• Experience managing 3–5 complex construction projects concurrently.

• Proven track record of overseeing technical aspects of projects and mentoring project resources.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is advantageous.

• Familiarity with engineering concepts, practices, procedures, design guidelines, standards, systems, relevant engineering codes, and quality programs.

• Capability to prepare intricate engineering calculations using established methods and principles.

• Ability to develop, validate, and present technical outputs effectively.

• Proficient in managing engineering data, budgets, schedules, scope, and quality criteria.
