This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level business intelligence solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI.
• Create interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, and analytical solutions.
• Collect and translate business and reporting requirements into scalable, reusable Power BI solutions.
• Construct semantic models, relationships, measures, calculated columns, and analytical components using DAX.
• Utilize Power Query and M to transform, cleanse, integrate, and prepare data.
• Connect Power BI solutions to various enterprise data sources.
• Design effective data models following dimensional modeling and star-schema principles.
• Develop and enhance SQL queries, views, and data transformations.
• Configure row-level security and other access controls for reports and datasets.
• Publish and manage reports, semantic models, dashboards, and applications within the Power BI Service.
• Set up and troubleshoot data refreshes, gateways, connections, and scheduled refresh processes.
• Monitor and enhance the performance of reports, semantic models, and queries.
• Support deployment processes across development, testing, and production environments.
• Conduct unit and integration testing and assist with user acceptance testing.
• Diagnose issues related to reports, data models, data quality, refreshes, gateways, and connectivity.
• Develop and uphold technical documentation, data definitions, report specifications, and solution documentation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, administrators, architects, data teams, and stakeholders.
• Present analytical findings, dashboards, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Offer technical guidance and knowledge support to end users and junior staff.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying business intelligence and analytics solutions.
• Practical experience in developing enterprise reports, dashboards, semantic models, and analytical solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience in integrating and transforming data from various enterprise data sources.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Proficient in DAX.
• Proficient in Power Query and M.
• Experience in designing semantic models, relationships, hierarchies, measures, and calculated columns.
• Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and star-schema design.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience integrating Power BI with SQL Server, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Dataverse, Excel, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
• Experience implementing row-level security and managing access to Power BI content.
• Experience in publishing and managing reports, semantic models, dashboards, workspaces, and Power BI applications.
• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting scheduled refreshes, data connections, and on-premises data gateways.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize the performance of Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX, and queries.
• Understanding of data quality, data validation, and reporting governance principles.
• Experience supporting deployment across development, testing, and production environments.
• Familiarity with Power BI deployment pipelines and source/version control practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Ability to convert business and reporting requirements into scalable, maintainable, and reusable technical solutions.
• Ability to convey complex data and analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic environment.
• Capability to provide technical guidance and knowledge support to junior staff.
• Willingness to stay informed about Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and emerging analytics technologies.
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400 or AB-400) is required.
• ITIL v4 or v5 Foundation certification is required.
• Must successfully pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust.
