Lead Power BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and present clear, user-friendly, and interactive Power BI dashboards

• Convert complex datasets into actionable insights for stakeholders

• Write and enhance intricate DAX measures, calculations, and custom time-intelligence logic

• Assess essential business metrics and organizational KPIs

• Connect, extract, and transform both structured and unstructured data from various enterprise sources

• Utilize Power Query (M) and automated data flows

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and enhance report performance

• Optimize DAX measures, refine data models, minimize cardinalities, and utilize star-schema architecture

• Establish and oversee governance and report security measures, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, AI teams, business leaders, functional teams, and stakeholders from various disciplines

• Transform analytical inquiries into effective visual reporting solutions

• Assist in analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI initiatives throughout the organization

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead Power BI Developer

• Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining scalable BI solutions, enterprise semantic models, and reporting infrastructure utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Fabric

• Experience in authoring and optimizing complex DAX measures, calculations, and custom time-intelligence logic

• Familiarity with Power Query (M) and automated data flows

• Experience in connecting, extracting, and transforming structured and unstructured data from various enterprise sources

• Expertise in tuning DAX measures and enhancing data models

• Knowledge of reducing cardinalities and leveraging star-schema architecture

• Experience in implementing and managing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)

• Strong ability to collaborate with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, AI teams, business leaders, functional teams, and stakeholders from various disciplines
