Business Intelligence Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain tailored financial and operational reports and dashboards within Sage Intacct.

• Construct and oversee reports in Sage 300 CRE utilizing Crystal Reports and Office Connector.

• Ensure that reports meet the needs of multi-entity, multi-currency, and department-specific requirements.

• Align reporting outputs with the month-end and quarter-end closing cycles, as well as ad hoc reporting inquiries.

• Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and usability of data.

• Replicate essential data into SQL tables when existing tools fall short.

• Facilitate advanced report generation through SQL and Crystal Reports.

• Address data access and quality challenges across systems and reports.

• Collect reporting requirements from the Accounting, Finance, and Business Operations teams.

• Provide customized reporting solutions to both internal stakeholders and clients.

• Offer guidance, documentation, and user support for interpreting and modifying reports.

• Document report logic, data sources, and version histories.

• Share best practices in reporting and train internal team members as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Sage Intacct, specifically in report development.

• Skilled in Financial Report Writer.

• Competent in ICRW and Custom Report Wizard.

• Proficient in Dashboards and Dimensions.

• Experienced with Crystal Reports and Office Connector (Sage 300 CRE).

• Strong grasp of GAAP and the fundamentals of financial reporting.

• Experience working in multi-entity and multi-currency environments.

• Ability to analyze and reconcile data across AP, AR, GL, Projects, Time & Expenses.

• Familiarity with SQL and stored procedures for reporting and data integration.

• Capable of effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the US or Canada.

• Preferred: experience in supporting clients or internal teams within the construction sector.

• Preferred: knowledge of Intacct platform services (Smart Rules, Smart Events, custom objects).

• Preferred: experience with external reporting tools like OMNI and Power BI.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
