This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +1 more country.
β’ Comprehend the reporting needs of finance and business stakeholders and convert them into Power BI dashboards.
β’ Create and sustain Power BI semantic models, along with their relationships and measures.
β’ Formulate advanced and efficient DAX measures for business and financial reporting.
β’ Develop reports utilizing governed data within a medallion architecture, primarily focusing on the gold layer.
β’ Implement and uphold row-level security for sensitive financial, commission, and personnel data.
β’ Utilize Direct Lake on Microsoft Fabric when appropriate and enhance models and reports.
β’ Document and reproduce existing reporting definitions and business logic from the DataCube.
β’ Validate reports against source data and established business definitions.
β’ Assist in user acceptance testing alongside finance and business stakeholders.
β’ Document measures, definitions, and reporting logic thoroughly.
β’ Collaborate with the Senior Fabric Engineer and offer insights on changes to the gold-layer model.
β’ Create clear, intuitive, and visually appealing dashboards.
β’ Contribute to both internal and client-facing analytics and reporting initiatives within the Data & AI Practice.
β’ Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI, including the development of production-level dashboards and reporting solutions.
β’ Strong expertise in Power BI semantic modeling.
β’ Exceptional knowledge of DAX, with a focus on complex, efficient, and high-performance measures.
β’ In-depth understanding of analytical data modeling, including star schemas, relationships, and measures.
β’ Experience in designing and implementing row-level security (RLS) within Power BI.
β’ Solid understanding of Power BI connectivity and storage methods, including Import, DirectQuery, and Direct Lake.
β’ Experience in optimizing Power BI models and reports for enhanced performance.
β’ Familiarity with tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, or VertiPaq Analyzer.
β’ Strong SQL skills for querying, investigating, and validating underlying data.
β’ Proven experience in gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and translating them into reporting solutions.
β’ Ability to challenge or clarify requirements to ensure the accuracy of reporting definitions and calculations.
β’ Strong skills in designing dashboards and reports.
β’ Capability to work independently while collaborating with a lead engineer responsible for the broader data platform.
β’ Proficient written and spoken English skills.
β’ Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Direct Lake; familiarity with finance reporting, modern data engineering concepts, cloud data platforms, CI/CD for Power BI, Microsoft certifications, and multi-client experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
