This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Oversee the complete transaction lifecycle, from identifying and qualifying new prospects to negotiating and developing them through to successful completion.
β’ Collaborate with the Corporate Development team to identify and assess potential acquisition targets.
β’ Actively seek out new acquisition opportunities, organize meetings, and advance target companies through the M&A pipeline until signing.
β’ Establish and nurture long-term, trusting relationships with current and potential acquisition targets through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email correspondence.
β’ Carefully document activities, opportunities, and pertinent information in Salesforce (CRM).
β’ Identify and participate in relevant conferences and industry events.
β’ Organize roadshows to generate leads and enhance relationships with prospective target companies.
β’ Assist in financial modeling, due diligence, and negotiations in partnership with the M&A team.
β’ Create investment theses based on analysis and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
β’ Articulate Harrisβs investment philosophy, strategy, and value proposition to potential acquisition targets.
β’ Ensure that each acquisition process is conducted with professionalism and efficiency, centered around building trusting relationships.
β’ Regular travel within Germany and the DACH region, with increasing travel across Europe.
β’ Several years of relevant professional experience in M&A, Financial Due Diligence, Corporate Development, Business Development, Investment Management, Finance, General Management, or a related field.
β’ Experience in managing or supporting M&A transactions.
β’ Background in operational leadership, such as a General Manager or in a senior management position at a software operating company.
β’ Strong skills in financial modeling, analytical tasks, and commercial valuation.
β’ Proven ability to generate leads, qualify business opportunities, and cultivate relationships.
β’ Experience in the software industry, particularly within the public sector, security, healthcare, or utilities, is required.
β’ Essential experience in at least one of the following sectors: public sector, security, healthcare, or utilities.
β’ Ability to communicate confidently with C-level executives and business owners.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
β’ A proactive, self-driven, and independent work approach.
β’ Business-fluent in both German and English.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel regularly are essential.
β’ Proficiency in French is advantageous but not mandatory.
