Portfolio Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Ensure consistent alignment, communication, and coherence across both ongoing and upcoming studies within assigned client portfolios.

• Create and maintain tools, templates, dashboards, communication strategies, and governance documents at the portfolio level.

• Monitor and analyze service delivery KPIs, identify trends, and collaborate with leadership to develop improvement strategies.

• Facilitate client governance meetings that discuss program plans, KPIs, risks, and opportunities for enhancement or growth.

• Oversee the quality, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resources throughout the portfolios.

• Manage communication channels among internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

• Detect and address portfolio-wide risks, challenges, and recurring issues.

• Handle issue escalation processes among client stakeholders, study teams, and internal leadership.

• Collaborate with business development from the bid defense stage through to long-term account strategy.

• Build relationships with client decision-makers as a senior operational and strategic liaison.

• Create cross-functional service solutions tailored to unique client requests.

• Represent the organization at client and investigator meetings, including periodic client visits.

• Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and coaching to project teams.

• Convert novel client or study requirements into scalable operational solutions.

• Deliver performance feedback to functional leads and operational team members.

• Carry out other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university is required.

• A minimum of three years of experience in clinical research, central laboratory operations, portfolio/program management, or a related field is required.

• Experience in customer service and client relationship management is essential.

• Familiarity with interpreting KPIs and operational performance data is preferred.

• Strong capability to interpret technical procedures, regulations, and clinical trial requirements.

• Proficiency in writing reports and presenting information clearly to clients and internal leadership.

• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to calculate and interpret operational metrics.

• Capability to tackle complex problems in dynamic, multi-study environments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).

• Exceptional organization, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

• Strong stress management abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
