This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
β’ Drive the recovery, enhancement of capabilities, and sustainable performance within the Global Supplier Development organization.
β’ Assist in operational containment, supplier evaluations, and structured improvement strategies across global commodities.
β’ Lead internal and supplier containment measures in collaboration with Operations and Quality departments.
β’ Organize supplier kick-off meetings and rapid response initiatives.
β’ Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
β’ Create and execute improvement plans, communicating through review checkpoints.
β’ Track leading and lagging KPIs and assess containment exit criteria.
β’ Escalate persistent challenges to crisis mode or form tiger teams when necessary.
β’ Collaborate with Commodity Teams and SBUs to transition suppliers to sustainable operational practices.
β’ Identify supplier locations and prioritize development endeavors based on risk, impact, and strategic commodity requirements.
β’ Conduct supplier evaluations utilizing SRA, SHA, Gemba, and related methodologies.
β’ Engage with suppliers through development roadmaps, training sessions, and targeted maturity-model initiatives.
β’ Coordinate with Commodity Managers and Engineering teams regarding supplier readiness for new programs or volume increases.
β’ Facilitate structured improvement plans, track KPIs, and conduct gate reviews.
β’ Oversee maturity objectives and initiate sustainability planning.
β’ Support ongoing monitoring and cycles of supplier re-engagement.
β’ Develop manufacturing process technology tools and standardization, including FMEA and Control Plans.
β’ Lead or assist in supplier transitions with minimal disruptions.
β’ Monitor supplier maturity following transitions and reinforce continuous improvement efforts.
β’ Execute APQP for new product launches and manage transition projects.
β’ Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Quality Assurance & Engineering, Operations and Planning, SBUs, Supplier Site Leadership, and Crisis Response and Tiger Teams.
β’ Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
β’ Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed, with a minimum of 50% of the time spent traveling.
β’ Advanced proficiency in English.
β’ Experience in leading supplier recovery initiatives, supplier transitions, and RCCA investigations for critical quality and delivery challenges.
β’ Proven track record in managing cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean principles and tools.
β’ Experience overseeing supplier performance for engineered components and manufacturing processes, including castings, plastics, machining, mechanical fabrication, forgings, and electrical components.
β’ Experience in presenting supplier performance and recovery plans to customers, senior leadership, and supplier executives.
β’ Proficient in using MS Office, LOB, WIP, Clear to Build, and milestone charts.
β’ Must be authorized to work in Mexico without the companyβs immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
β’ The company will not provide immigration sponsorship and will not pursue export authorization for this role.
