Plumbing Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create plumbing systems utilizing BIM tools and collaborate with various disciplines.

• Design plumbing system layouts and detailed designs for essential facilities.

• Conceptualize and model domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and other plumbing systems.

• Produce plumbing piping layouts, equipment connections, riser diagrams, and system schematics.

• Conduct plumbing calculations and assist with equipment and piping sizing.

• Generate coordinated BIM models and construction drawings.

• Comprehend and fulfill project requirements concerning scope, cost, and timeline.

• Identify and expedite engineering deliverables.

• Create and update project scope of work documentation and revisions.

• Synchronize plumbing systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.

• Detect and resolve design and coordination challenges within the BIM environment.

• Ensure designs adhere to plumbing, building, and project-specific codes and standards.

• Prepare drawings, schedules, specifications, calculations, and equipment data.

• Evaluate shop drawings and submittals for alignment with design intent.

• Assist project teams throughout the design development and construction phases.

• Conduct occasional site visits to support construction progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.

• A minimum of 4–5 years of plumbing design experience.

• Proficiency in designing and modeling plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.

• Extensive knowledge of domestic water, sanitary, vent, and storm drainage systems.

• Practical experience with Autodesk Revit is essential.

• Background in producing coordinated BIM models and construction documentation.

• Familiarity with relevant plumbing and building codes and standards.

• Experience in coordinating plumbing systems with other engineering disciplines.

• Experience with U.S.-based projects and data centers is a plus.

• Written and spoken English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet project deadlines.

• Self-motivated, ambitious, and able to excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

• Resume submitted in English.

• Independent, self-employed professional status under a formal independent contractor agreement.

• Compliance with tax and labor obligations in the country of residence.

• Valid U.S. work visa is an asset but not mandatory.
