PLM CAD Data Management Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee CAD assets, metadata, and classifications within Windchill.

• Develop and manage relationships between assemblies and sub-assemblies to facilitate product structure and document reuse.

• Import CAD data and associated documents from both internal and external sources.

• Administer Production Shared geometry states and assist with geometry quality assessments.

• Establish and uphold product development containers, which include team configuration, metadata updates, and access management.

• Assist with bulk document uploads, container duplication, and data organization for product variations.

• Address data integrity challenges such as naming inconsistencies, missing assets, and structural discrepancies.

• Aid in CAD-BOM integration and BOM reconciliation to ensure alignment of structures across various systems.

• Handle user access requests and facilitate onboarding for new personnel, including training sessions.

• Sustain operational data and reporting to enhance visibility, license usage, and process oversight.

• Collaborate with brand and cross-functional teams to uphold consistent PLM data practices.

• Participate in audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience with PLM/PDM systems and CAD tools in a product development, engineering, or manufacturing setting is preferred.

• Experience with PTC Windchill and Creo is desirable; familiarity with similar tools like Oracle Agile, SolidWorks, Autodesk, Teamcenter, or related systems is also appreciated.

• Understanding of product data management, CAD structures, metadata, document control, and product hierarchies.

• Basic knowledge of BOMs and data maintenance within enterprise systems.

• Experience in supporting data quality, reporting, auditing, or process compliance activities is advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and willingness to learn new systems and processes.

• Proficient communication skills in English and capacity to collaborate with global teams.

• Applicants with limited direct PLM/CAD experience but a strong technical aptitude, eagerness to learn, and interest in Windchill, Creo, and PLM data processes are encouraged to apply.

• Proficiency in Mandarin for effective communication with vendors and stakeholders is a valuable asset.
