PLC Programmer – Process Engineering – Commissioning / Field Service

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Commissioning new machines and process engineering systems at client locations.

• Conducting software tests, I/O checks, and functional assessments.

• Adjusting and enhancing PLC controls utilizing Siemens TIA Portal.

• Analyzing and diagnosing PLC, HMI, and fieldbus systems.

• Refining machine and process parameters during the commissioning phase.

• Integrating machine controls with customers' control, SCADA, and MES systems.

• Coordinating technical issues with clients, project management, sales, and internal teams.

• Assisting with mechanical tasks and the assembly and final setup of machines at client sites.

• Documenting completed commissioning tasks and technical alterations.

• Occasionally providing support for service assignments.

• Participating in paid on-call duty during a few weekends each year.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed technical training, such as Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Electronics Technician, or a similar qualification.

• Hands-on experience with PLC controls and automation technology.

• Up-to-date and relevant knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal.

• Familiarity with SIMATIC Step 7 and WinCC is beneficial.

• Initial professional experience in commissioning, mechanical and plant engineering, production facilities, or a similar technical environment.

• Knowledge of process engineering is a plus.

• Willingness to engage practically and mechanically with machines and systems in addition to PLC technology.

• Enjoyment in direct customer interactions, combined with a solution-oriented and independent work style.

• High flexibility and readiness to travel throughout Germany from Monday to Friday.

• Ideally, residing in southern Germany.

• Proficient in the German language.

• English language skills are an advantage.

• Willingness to engage in paid on-call duty on several weekends each year.
