Platform Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the formulation and implementation of a cloud strategy that aligns with the organization's long-term objectives.

• Design and supervise intricate multi-platform architectures that integrate various technologies and services.

• Set and uphold architectural standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to develop cloud strategy roadmaps and business cases.

• Conduct risk assessments and formulate strategies to mitigate security, compliance, and operational risks.

• Assess and incorporate emerging cloud technologies.

• Promote continuous improvement by utilizing performance data, industry trends, and feedback from stakeholders.

• Oversee large-scale cloud transformation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Define the technical direction, system architecture, software architecture, and non-functional requirements.

• Lead technical designs while overseeing implementations, codebases, and the application of industry standards.

• Refine product and program backlogs, provide estimations, define architectural enablers, and address implementation risks.

• Manage the architectural roadmap and contribute to the product roadmap.

• Develop prototypes to assess and showcase architectural concepts and new technologies.

• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, influencing standard processes and practices.

• Represent Hyland at industry forums and conferences.

• Mentor, coach, train, and develop team members.

• Share best practices and market trends with teams and leadership.

• Adhere to corporate privacy and data security policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of experience as a Platform Architect.

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.

• In-depth experience with at least one major public cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Experience managing software workloads in production environments.

• Experience providing platform services to internal teams.

• Familiarity with continuous software delivery practices.

• Understanding of build environments and delivery pipelines.

• Proficiency in two or more general-purpose programming languages.

• Expert-level knowledge of public cloud services, platforms, provisioning, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Mastery of CI/CD software delivery pipelines and build environments.

• Solution Architect Associate certification or equivalent qualification.

• Exceptional software modeling skills encompassing information, domain, process, state, security, logical, and physical architectural perspectives.

• Extensive experience in cloud hosting design, design patterns, architecture patterns, and quality attributes.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent collaboration, organizational, and time management capabilities.

• Ability to coach, mentor, train, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Advanced certifications in public cloud platforms are preferred.

• Quick learner with a strong curiosity and aptitude for technology.
