This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Identify, oversee, and finalize sales opportunities within a designated U.S. account territory.
• Collaborate in a team selling environment alongside Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Business Development Representatives, Executives, and others.
• Prospect and sell by demonstrating business value.
• Acquire knowledge about customers’ operations and express Verisk’s value proposition in a consultative manner.
• Comprehend customer decision-making processes and influence key decision-makers.
• Qualify opportunities and address customer challenges.
• Surpass average annual new sales targets ranging from $3.5M to $6M.
• Manage deals with an average new total contract value of $135,000 and an average sales cycle of 7 months.
• Oversee existing solution revenue across 6 to 25 accounts, focusing on growth and retention.
• Develop a pipeline of 2.5 to 3 times the sales goal.
• Manage strategic sales plans for short-, mid-, and long-term objectives.
• Maintain and communicate territory activity, notes, updates, call reports, and opportunities in Salesforce.com.
• Create customized solution proposals and contractual agreements.
• Coordinate sales opportunities with other Verisk team members.
• Provide insights on industry trends, product ideas, and competitive intelligence.
• Foster trusting relationships within assigned territory accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.com.
• Ability to effectively work from a remote home office.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Strong understanding and experience in Property Casualty Insurance is advantageous.
• Familiarity with insurance functions, particularly Underwriting, Marketing, Product Development, Actuarial, and Modeling, is a plus.
• Three years of experience with a proven track record in a complex sales environment is beneficial.
• Demonstrated successful sales history in insurance software, data, geospatial, and/or predictive modeling software solutions is advantageous.
• Experience in facilitating contract processes is a plus.
• Comfort with Salesforce.com and adaptability to new tools is beneficial.
