Pillar Lead – Application & Endpoint Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create reusable patterns for applications, workloads, cloud, and infrastructure within a Zero Trust framework.

• Evaluate system architecture, interactions between workloads, service dependencies, security measures, and constraints on implementation.

• Establish policies for application and workload enforcement, secure service communications, management of secrets, and identity requirements for workloads.

• Assist in engineering plans, deployment sequencing, pilot programs, testing, validation, and assessments of operational readiness.

• Document common variants applicable to cloud, hybrid, legacy, and mission-critical system environments.

• Recognize architectural deviations and extract lessons learned to enhance future enterprise patterns.

• Aid in the implementation of security capabilities and assess various technical solutions.

• Oversee cybersecurity tools and assist operational teams in translating security architecture into effective and repeatable practices.

• Collaborate closely with vulnerability management, incident response, RMF, and ISSO teams to foster operational risk reduction and promote continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

• At least five years of experience in application, cloud, infrastructure, platform, or systems architecture.

• Familiarity with enterprise application architectures, virtualization, containers, cloud platforms, APIs, and integration with legacy systems.

• Proficient understanding of Zero Trust principles related to application and workload security.

• Strong capabilities in systems thinking, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

• Experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, API gateways, service mesh, or contemporary application security controls. (Preferred)

• Experience in managing extensive Federal application portfolios. (Preferred)

• Background in modernizing legacy systems while adhering to security and availability constraints. (Preferred)

• Certifications such as CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, or Security+. (Preferred)
