Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide hands-on physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, adhering to each patient's individualized care plan.

• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises, training for gait and transfers, and utilizing assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.

• Implement physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to alleviate pain and enhance functionality.

• Track patient progress and relay any changes to the Physical Therapist and the care team.

• Accurately document care in a timely manner, and engage in team meetings and ongoing educational opportunities.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as necessary for patient care services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program accredited by the APTA.

• Current PTA license issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California.

• Up-to-date CPR certification from the AHA.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Valid driver's license, a reliable insured vehicle, and a willingness to travel to patients' residences.
