Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide hands-on physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, adhering to each patient's individualized care plan.

• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises, as well as gait and transfer training, and the utilization of assistive devices including wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.

• Utilize physical modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to alleviate pain and enhance functional ability.

• Track patient progress and relay any changes to the Physical Therapist and the healthcare team.

• Accurately document patient care in a timely manner, and engage in team meetings and continuous training opportunities.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support patient services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program accredited by the APTA.

• Active PTA license issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California.

• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Valid driver's license, a reliable and insured vehicle, and a willingness to travel to patient residences.
