Physiatrist Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive and impartial evaluations of medical charts, adhering to established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.

• Review medical documentation and related materials to develop clear and reasoned clinical conclusions.

• Create succinct, precise, and defensible written reports that substantiate review findings.

• Execute evaluations in line with MMRO quality benchmarks and specified turnaround times.

• Employ MMRO review templates and ensure that all necessary components are addressed thoroughly and accurately.

• Uphold professionalism, impartiality, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

• Respond in a timely manner to inquiries from MMRO clinical and operations personnel.

• Engage in mandatory reviewer orientation and continuous training sessions.

• Integrate constructive feedback from MMRO medical and clinical leadership.

• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives through collaboration and suggestions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a current, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine in the United States.

• Valid Mississippi state medical license.

• Board Certification from an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) recognized specialty board.

• At least five (5) years of full-time equivalent clinical practice providing direct patient care.

• Active clinical experience within the last three (3) years.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Consistent ability to meet established review deadlines.

• Preferred experience in performing peer reviews, independent medical reviews, disability evaluations, utilization reviews, or providing expert medical opinions.
