Physiatrist Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive and impartial reviews of medical charts in line with established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.

• Examine medical records and accompanying documentation to develop clear and well-founded clinical opinions.

• Draft precise, accurate, and defendable written reports that support review conclusions.

• Conduct reviews in accordance with MMRO's quality benchmarks and specified turnaround times.

• Use MMRO review templates and ensure all necessary components are thoroughly and accurately addressed.

• Uphold professionalism, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

• Respond swiftly to communications from MMRO's clinical and operations personnel.

• Engage in mandatory reviewer orientation and ongoing training sessions.

• Integrate quality feedback from MMRO's Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, and clinical team into your work.

• Contribute to continuous quality enhancement initiatives through constructive feedback and teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine in the United States.

• Hold an active medical license in the state of Colorado.

• Achieve Board Certification through an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) recognized specialty board.

• Have a minimum of five (5) years of full-time equivalent clinical practice delivering direct patient care.

• Maintain active clinical experience within the last three (3) years.

• Exhibit strong written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Demonstrate the ability to consistently meet established review deadlines.

• Participation in reviewer orientation and ongoing training activities is required.

• Previous experience in performing peer reviews, independent medical reviews, disability evaluations, utilization review, or providing expert medical opinions is preferred.
