Pharmacy Technician – 6 Months Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the Clinical Pharmacy Team in managing pharmacy utilization and executing medication management initiatives.

• Enhance and sustain the Pharmacy Quality program.

• Improve patient outcomes while promoting the safe and effective use of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.

• Assist in achieving CMS/HEDIS Quality STAR measures by focusing on patients with chronic illnesses.

• Advocate for evidence-based pharmaceutical care.

• Handle outbound calls and receive inbound calls from members and providers concerning care gaps, adherence, and therapeutic substitutions.

• Act as a point of contact and subject matter expert for clinical pharmacy programs and pharmacy benefit management concerns.

• Record clinical activities and outcomes within the electronic health record (EHR).

• Collaborate with clinical personnel, provider offices, health plan partners, and in-network pharmacies.

• Aid in data analysis, report generation, and presentation preparation.

• Provide support for ad-hoc projects and undertake other assigned responsibilities.

• Investigate, process, and resolve drug authorization requests while responding to physician inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) is required.

• High School Diploma is necessary.

• 2-3 years of experience in a pharmacy-related role.

• Preferred: Familiarity with CMS/HEDIS Quality STAR measures.

• External candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM PST.
