This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct medication reconciliations for members, as well as comprehensive medication reviews (CMRs) and targeted medication reviews (TMRs).
• Draft written notifications for providers and members regarding clinical reviews.
• Leverage policies and resources to address inquiries and guide providers and members appropriately.
• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls related to all aspects of medication management.
• Schedule appointments as needed.
• Attend to concerns and questions from providers and members.
• Accurately record medication and allergy histories.
• Clearly and knowledgeably communicate health plan processes.
• Perform technical reviews for prescription drug prior authorizations.
• Inform providers of clinical decisions made.
• Integrate IEHP Quality Program objectives, including HEDIS, CAHPS, and NCQA Accreditation.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a pharmacy is required.
• Experience in a pharmacy benefit management environment is preferred.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• An Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• An active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Proficiency in pharmaceutical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; skills in Microsoft Excel are preferred.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Excellent critical thinking abilities are required.
• A typing speed of 40 corrected words per minute (CWPM) is required.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt and perform duties efficiently in response to unexpected changes.
