📋 Description

• Take charge of the comprehensive underwriting guidelines strategy for Personal Lines.

• Spearhead the creation, governance, and advancement of underwriting regulations, decision trees, and eligibility frameworks across various channels and products.

• Outline the strategic roadmap for underwriting models, incorporating risk segmentation, pricing support, and decision automation.

• Convert intricate analytic results into practical underwriting guidance for both automated and human decision-making.

• Establish governance structures for modifications to guidelines, updates to models, and rule implementations.

• Propel underwriting modernization efforts, focusing on automation, straight-through processing, and model-driven decision-making.

• Collaborate with IT and Delivery teams to execute underwriting strategies within systems and track performance post-deployment.

• Create monitoring and feedback systems to evaluate guideline and model effectiveness and propose improvements.

• Generate executive-level materials that clarify underwriting rationale, trade-offs, and consequences.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of strategy professionals.

• Advocate for underwriting strategy in senior leadership discussions and cross-functional design choices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of pertinent work experience.

• More than 3 years of demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams.

• In-depth knowledge of underwriting guidelines, decision frameworks, and the practical utilization of predictive models.

• Capability to transform abstract risk appetite and analytical insights into actionable underwriting rules and guidance.

• Comfortable collaborating with data science, actuarial, and analytics teams; capable of challenging and interpreting model outputs.

• Awareness of system limitations, frontline usability, and implementing strategy on a large scale.

• Proven track record of guiding teams through significant transformations in tools, processes, and methodologies.

• Established success as a people manager, emphasizing talent development and performance oversight.

• Ability to succinctly communicate complex underwriting and modeling concepts to senior leadership.
