This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Assist in the continuous development and assessment of H&R Block's corporate strategy.
• Establish long-term growth priorities and strategic decisions.
• Perform analyses on markets, customers, competitors, and financial data.
• Develop and validate hypotheses related to growth strategies, market expansion, customer requirements, new business models, and transformation initiatives.
• Generate data-driven recommendations, executive presentations, and strategic insights for senior leadership, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors.
• Lead and participate in high-priority strategy projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess opportunities, address complex business challenges, and achieve desired outcomes.
• Contribute to the enterprise strategic planning process.
• Coordinate priorities, investments, key initiatives, and success metrics throughout the organization.
• Facilitate executive workshops and discussions with stakeholders.
• Foster alignment on critical decisions and trade-offs.
• Analyze competitive environments, emerging technologies, and disruptive forces impacting the tax, financial services, and small business sectors.
• Aid in the evaluation of strategic partnerships, new business initiatives, and growth prospects.
• Cultivate trusted relationships and influence leaders across various functions to promote strategic priorities and support informed decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6+ years of experience, or equivalent, in strategy-focused management consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, growth strategy, investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to structure and resolve complex, ambiguous business problems to produce measurable business impact.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
• Exceptional communication abilities and capacity to distill complex information into clear, compelling recommendations.
• Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing others without direct authority.
• Familiarity with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, strong collaboration abilities, a bias for action, and a proven track record of creating value and delivering measurable business impact.
• Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting executive leadership teams, Board-level discussions, or enterprise strategic planning.
• Preferred: Experience within financial services, consumer services, small business services, technology, retail, or other customer-focused industries.
• Preferred: Strong understanding of organic and inorganic value creation levers and/or experience in developing AI transformation strategies.
