This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with external clients in the Managed Care sector for the Northeast US region.
• Attain and sustain medical coverage policies, secure access, obtain in-network contracts, and track market trends for clinical diagnostic laboratory genetic/genomic tests.
• Establish robust business relationships within intricate organizations.
• Achieve favorable access and coverage decisions for BG tests by identifying, comprehending, and addressing client needs.
• Meet or surpass account objectives for BG’s Northeast and Gulf regions.
• Expand the current customer managed care portfolio and increase the number of clients with in-network contracts.
• Formulate, assess, and propose strategic initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional BG teams.
• Create account-specific strategies and tactical plans that align with business and customer objectives.
• Provide external insights to guide BG’s test access strategy.
• Develop both short-term and long-term strategic account plans for designated accounts.
• Present BG-sanctioned data and value propositions in compliance with governing policies.
• Cultivate and strengthen professional relationships with key customer decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Oversee contract fulfillment, business reviews, and performance monitoring alongside the internal market access team.
• Conduct regular business reviews and keep internal stakeholders informed of pertinent account updates.
• Uphold the company’s mission and values, ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines, and comply with the Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of direct experience with U.S. payer accounts.
• Demonstrated past performance that has met or surpassed expectations.
• Prior experience with various health plans is essential.
• Experience with independent physician/practice associations (IPAs) is preferred.
• Proven success in navigating coverage policies and finalizing contracts.
• Experience in reimbursement and managed care is necessary.
• Familiarity with NGS, molecular diagnostics, or genetics is advantageous.
• Experience in biopharma account management is welcomed.
• Understanding of the payer payment system in the U.S. is important.
• Capability to manage projects and collaborate cross-functionally with field teams and home office team members.
• Proficient in communicating effectively and persuasively on complex clinical and economic issues to payers and other clients.
• Strong commercial acumen for influencing and negotiating with payer stakeholders across testing and disease areas.
