This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Provide coverage in short-term, surge, and on-demand situations stemming from military requirements.
• Offer personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff members.
• Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and workshops focused on personal financial management.
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for prolonged absences.
• Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and promote Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Provide age-appropriate classes or seminars upon request.
• Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods when authorized.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and engage in both individual and group supervision.
• Share trends and issues from assigned installations.
• Participate in in-services, training sessions, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
• Offer referrals to external resources when appropriate.
• Execute other assigned duties as required.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• An Associate degree combined with 4 years of experience may be accepted in place of a Bachelor's degree.
• A high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish if specified by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required.
