This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.

• Offer personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families.

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions and consultations with commanders, providers, or staff.

• Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, and seminars.

• Provide referral resources in addition to counseling sessions.

• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program fulfills installation requirements.

• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences.

• Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.

• Organize, promote, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.

• Provide age-appropriate classes or seminars upon request.

• Utilize virtual counseling and secure electronic communication methods when permitted.

• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with DoD protocol.

• Engage with leadership and partake in individual and group supervision.

• Communicate trends and issues from assigned installations.

• Participate in training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.

• Execute other duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• An Associate degree coupled with 4 years of experience may be accepted in place of a Bachelor's degree.

• A high school diploma along with 6 years of experience may be considered as a substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

• Over 3 years of experience in financial counseling is essential.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred if specified by the contract.

• Eligibility to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.

• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.

• Must possess one of the following credentials: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

• A valid in-state driver's license is necessary.
