This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Deliver support during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios that arise from military requirements.
• Offer personal financial advisory and management services to military personnel and their families at military bases.
• Engage in individual counseling sessions and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff.
• Present briefings, workshops, classes, and seminars on personal financial management.
• Provide referral resources during counseling sessions.
• Aid service members in creating spending plans for extended periods away.
• Create and distribute educational financial materials.
• Organize and promote Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Utilize virtual counseling and secure electronic communication methods when permitted.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with DoD protocols.
• Communicate with leadership and engage in individual and group supervision.
• Report trends and issues from assigned installations.
• Participate in in-service training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• An associate degree combined with 4 years of experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A high school diploma along with 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is necessary.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
• Proficiency in spoken English is mandatory.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are required if specified by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is essential.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required.
