This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
β’ Provide support in urgent, short-term, and on-demand scenarios driven by military requirements
β’ Offer personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at military installations
β’ Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, consultations, briefings, presentations, education, and provide referral resources
β’ Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program objectives and installation needs are fulfilled
β’ Assist service members in creating spending plans for prolonged absences
β’ Create and distribute informational financial materials
β’ Organize, market, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle
β’ Address requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars
β’ Utilize virtual counseling and secure electronic communication methods when permitted
β’ Handle duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols
β’ Communicate with leadership and engage in both individual and group supervision
β’ Report trends and issues from assigned installations
β’ Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities
β’ Execute other duties as assigned
β’ Bachelor's degree is required
β’ An Associate degree along with 4 years of experience may be considered as a substitute for a bachelor's degree
β’ A high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may also be considered in place of a bachelor's degree
β’ At least 3 years of experience in financial counseling
β’ Must be a U.S. citizen
β’ Proficiency in English is required
β’ Bilingual in English and Spanish if specified by the contract
β’ Capability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
β’ Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
β’ Must possess one of the following: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
β’ Valid in-state driver's license is required
