This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and sustain automated performance testing frameworks that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
• Establish and monitor performance KPIs, including response time, throughput, resource utilization, latency, and error rates.
• Execute load, stress, and scalability testing under conditions involving multi-tenancy and concurrent users.
• Create and oversee performance dashboards while providing both executive- and technical-level reports.
• Conduct real-time monitoring, observability, and telemetry setup to assess application and infrastructure performance.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, SREs, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.
• Validate essential workflows and use cases, including long-running queries, search operations, and API endpoints.
• Capture and report metrics related to CPU, memory, disk, network, and application-specific logs.
• Contribute performance-related content to Monthly Status Reports and documentation at the sprint level.
• Align the performance testing strategy with DevSecOps and MLOps processes.
• Develop and implement formal performance test plans.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans and reports.
• Verify and validate functionalities against system requirements.
• Support Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) cloud solutions for secure sensitive workloads.
• Design and implement configurations for servers, networks, and software within cloud infrastructure and applications, applying DevOps principles.
• Function as part of an agile development team dedicated to modernizing enterprise-class software applications for the US Courts’ Case Management Modernization Program.
• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in deploying and managing applications and systems on commercial and private clouds.
• Proficient in performance engineering and automated testing of cloud-based applications and platforms.
• Strong familiarity with JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or k6.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, or Elastic Stack.
• Skilled in programming languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
• Knowledgeable in Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of performance characteristics in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experienced with telemetry frameworks and logging standards.
• Capable of analyzing large volumes of test data to identify trends, driving root cause analysis and optimization.
• Experienced in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in sprint ceremonies.
• Experienced in implementing DevSecOps using GitOps or similar tools.
• Skilled in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.
• Familiar with source version control and build/release tools and methodologies.
• Extensive hands-on experience in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, automating test cases, executing performance tests, and analyzing results.
• Familiar with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS concepts and practices.
• Experienced in supporting large-scale infrastructure migrations and application migrations to AWS or Azure.
• Ability to acquire a position of Public Trust with the Administrative Office of the US Courts.
• Must be a US Person: Green Card Holder, US Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee, or US Citizen.
• Less than 10% travel is required.
