This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead the People Operations team during a maternity leave coverage period from late November through early May.
• Directly supervise and mentor a Recruiter and People Ops Administrator.
• Provide guidance, eliminate obstacles, oversee projects, and support day-to-day team activities.
• Manage daily HR operations, including employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, leaves of absence, and employee inquiries.
• Ensure HR systems, policies, and workflows operate efficiently across the global team.
• Lead the comprehensive annual compensation review process in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Oversee budget allocation, salary benchmarking, and employee communications.
• Administer quarterly spot bonus distribution and options allocation programs.
• Coordinate and finalize the annual global business insurance policy renewals.
• Manage logistics, programming, and team alignment for the annual company retreat/summit.
• Conduct the semi-annual company-wide performance review process and ensure full participation and compliance.
• Address ongoing performance issues in collaboration with managers and leaders.
• Monitor and enforce employment compliance across jurisdictions where remote team members are located.
• Collaborate with finance and external payroll/EOR providers on global payroll and benefits administration.
• 7+ years of progressive People Operations/HR Generalist experience.
• Previous experience managing direct reports.
• Proven track record in a fully remote, distributed, and global team environment (~75+ employees).
• Demonstrated experience in managing an annual compensation cycle and rewards programs.
• Experience guiding business insurance renewals.
• Background in high-level event planning or logistics, such as company retreats/summits.
• Adaptable, highly organized, empathetic, and comfortable integrating into an established team.
• Familiarity with modern HRIS platforms.
• Knowledge of global EOR tools, such as Deel.
• Understanding of PEOs.
• Experience with collaborative tools, including Slack and Google Workspace.
• Proven experience handling employee escalations.
• Executive presence and the ability to collaborate with and influence leaders and managers.
