This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.
• Manage the complete employee lifecycle, encompassing onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and benefits administration.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to set up role-specific onboarding processes.
• Oversee new-hire compliance tasks, including I-9 verification, state filings, and deadlines for benefits enrollment.
• Investigate federal, state, and local employment law obligations.
• Ensure systems and practices adhere to compliance standards.
• Draft and improve policies and procedures for leadership review and approval.
• Prepare and uphold offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding documentation.
• Act as the initial point of contact for employee HR inquiries.
• Offer policy guidance, address everyday issues, and escalate complex situations as necessary.
• Assist People Operations Associates and HR Administrators with questions regarding policies and processes.
• Contribute to engagement initiatives such as surveys, recognition programs, team-building activities, and offsite events.
• Gather feedback to enhance the employee experience.
• Optimize and document HR processes utilizing AI tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field (preferred experience).
• 2–4 years of practical HR generalist experience.
• Experience ideally in a small or rapidly growing company managing the entire employee lifecycle.
• Familiarity with HR compliance and fundamental employment laws.
• Capability to research and apply new employment regulations.
• Experience in implementing and developing HR automations and systems.
• Comfort using HRIS platforms.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
• Strong judgment and the ability to uphold integrity, compliance, and confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Capacity to multitask and prioritize while maintaining attention to detail.
• Practical, in-house experience with multi-state HR compliance.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada.
• Must reside in eligible locations: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada for full-time salaried employment.
