People Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive progression and banding framework for the entire company.

• Arrange scorecards and link them to biannual evaluations and progression cycles.

• Oversee review cycles from start to finish, including setting timelines, sending reminders, calibrating results, and ensuring follow-through.

• Standardize the onboarding process, which includes 30-60-90 day plans, first-week setups, and regular check-ins.

• Create and facilitate Pearl Drivers Ed for newly hired employees.

• Set milestones and initiatives for new leaders from their first day.

• Conduct all-hands meetings, focusing on data gathering, speaker selection, and storytelling.

• Perform end-of-week assessments with department leaders.

• Assist in managing company-wide sprints, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and ensuring delivery.

• Support weekly and monthly data evaluations.

• Review recurring meetings to enhance their quality.

• Aid the founders in high-impact internal projects and organizational cleanup tasks.

• Maintain internal processes and documentation using Notion and Docs.

• Facilitate connections between founders and department leads by translating decisions into responsible parties, timelines, and follow-through actions.

• Lead special projects directed by founders, which may involve legal counsel, accounting firms, and compliance initiatives.

• Manage relationships with external partners, including law firms, accountants, advisors, and vendors.

• Transform completed initiatives into repeatable processes or designate clear owners.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a chief of staff or business operations lead in a high-growth startup.

• Background in people operations or internal operations, having developed performance, onboarding, or review systems from the ground up.

• Experience as a former consultant transitioned into an operational role with a focus on real execution.

• Involvement with an early-stage team at a rapidly scaling, people-intensive company, managing the internal operational flow.

• Background in leading internal operations within a services business or agency.

• Experience in creating scorecards, review cycles, or onboarding programs that were effectively implemented and sustained post-launch.

• Capability to address ambiguous requests from founders through research, recommendations, and delivery of results.

• Demonstrated extreme ownership and commitment to follow-through.

• Ability to lead without formal authority and secure buy-in from diverse teams.

• Excellent storytelling and communication skills.

• Proficiency in assessing and enhancing meeting effectiveness.

• Maintain high standards while exhibiting a low ego.
