People Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Manage comprehensive employee lifecycle processes, encompassing onboarding, offboarding, compensation evaluations, contract oversight, benefits management, and leave coordination.

• Ensure precise and confidential maintenance of employee records within the Humaans HRIS.

• Guarantee adherence to Portuguese labor regulations while upholding internal documentation standards.

• Oversee logistics for business travel, including booking flights, accommodations, and preparing itineraries.

• Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries from employees and managers.

• Facilitate end-to-end recruitment processes.

• Assist in engagement surveys, performance management cycles, and learning and development programs.

• Collaborate on initiatives aimed at enhancing employer branding.

• Organize and execute both virtual and in-person team events, such as the annual Workation.

• Identify areas for improvement and enhance workflows within People Operations.

• Minimize manual tasks through the use of AI tools and process automation.

• Utilize HR metrics to make data-driven decisions.

• Improve the employee experience by fostering authentic relationships, nurturing company culture, and ensuring that employees feel supported.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in People/HR positions within Portugal or with Portugal-based companies.

• Degree in Human Resources, Work Psychology, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of Portuguese labor law.

• Proficient in using AI tools daily, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies to streamline HR tasks.

• Experience in recruitment and sourcing for niche or challenging profiles.

• Previous experience in startups or scale-ups is advantageous.

• Comfortable with HRIS platforms, specifically Humaans.

• Bilingual in English and Portuguese.

• Exhibits a resourceful and proactive mindset.

• Capable of clear and compassionate communication across diverse cultures and time zones.

• Quick to learn, taking accountability for mistakes and seeking improvement.

• Adaptable to a blend of structured and flexible work environments.
