This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage the entire employee lifecycle from the acceptance of an offer to offboarding, encompassing preboarding, onboarding, internal transfers, approved compensation modifications, leaves of absence, and separations.
• Facilitate smooth transitions among Talent, managers, IT, Finance, and payroll service providers.
• Act as a primary point of contact for both employee and manager inquiries, addressing routine issues while escalating sensitive or complex situations as needed.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise employee records across HR, payroll, benefits, and equity platforms.
• Reconcile approved modifications, audit records and workflows, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Develop and enhance People systems, processes, templates, playbooks, reporting mechanisms, and self-service resources.
• Oversee daily benefits administration, which includes enrollment, eligibility record management, responding to employee inquiries, liaising with carriers and brokers, and preparing for renewals.
• Manage payroll readiness and inputs, ensuring reconciliation of employee changes, leave data, and approved compensation and commission adjustments.
• Administer performance review cycles, including scheduling, tool setup, guidance provision, tracking completions, calibration, documentation, and implementation of approved changes.
• Maintain the People Operations compliance calendar and records related to necessary notices, training, registrations, and policy acknowledgments.
• Coordinate legal inquiries and country-specific requirements with legal counsel, payroll providers, and employers of record.
• Lead specific People Operations projects from problem identification through to implementation.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in People Operations or HR Operations, with direct responsibility for employee lifecycle, benefits, and payroll processes in a growing organization.
• Proven track record of managing employee lifecycle processes while providing support to employees and managers with discretion, care, and sound judgment.
• Strong familiarity with HRIS platforms.
• Willingness to learn interconnected People systems, such as ATS, payroll, and benefits.
• Experience in executing performance review cycles and ensuring that approved outcomes are accurately reflected in employee records and payroll adjustments.
• Fundamental understanding of employment law and compliance principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, process quality, and thorough follow-through.
• Experience aiding an early-stage or high-growth company in scaling People systems and practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with coordinating employment through an employer of record or providing support to employees across multiple countries may be advantageous.
