This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.
• Act as the lead technical authority for all globally deployed PDU platforms.
• Oversee and uphold approved PDU standards, product selections, and deployment protocols.
• Assess new PDU technologies and suggest their adoption and standardization.
• Manage monitoring, alerts, and reporting for the worldwide PDU ecosystem using Nlyte and other sanctioned monitoring tools.
• Create and sustain alarm thresholds, escalation procedures, and operational benchmarks.
• Coordinate firmware upgrades, security patches, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Formulate and implement lifecycle management and replacement strategies for PDU assets.
• Monitor warranty, end-of-sale, end-of-support, and end-of-life milestones.
• Ensure precise asset inventory and assist in forecasting for refresh and expansion projects.
• Anticipate growth and infrastructure needs alongside business units.
• Convert business requirements into PDU capacity plans, inventory forecasts, lifecycle replacement timelines, and budget suggestions.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Logistics to ensure sufficient inventory levels.
• Oversee vendor relationships, product registrations, RMAs, and support escalations.
• Keep track of market trends, product roadmaps, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
• Assist with emergency replacements and major incident responses related to PDU infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance for intelligent PDU platforms and devise long-term strategies for power infrastructure.
• Proven experience in managing intelligent PDU infrastructure within enterprise, data center, or colocation settings.
• Familiarity with PDU monitoring, alarm management, firmware administration, and remote management systems.
• Background in overseeing hardware lifecycle programs, inventory, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Direct experience collaborating with equipment vendors and support teams.
• Strong understanding of intelligent PDUs and power distribution technologies.
• Knowledge of SNMP, infrastructure monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Understanding of firmware management and vulnerability remediation protocols.
• Insights into data center power concepts, including voltage, amperage, load balancing, and redundancy.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with APC/Schneider Electric, Vertiv, Geist, Raritan, or similar PDU platforms.
• Familiarity with Nlyte or other DCIM tools.
• Experience supporting global infrastructure implementations.
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, and asset lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Power BI or data analytics.
• Experience in automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python, APIs).
