Payroll Transformation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in payroll operations, integrations, and process enhancements across Solen and its affiliated companies.

• Facilitate payroll integration for newly acquired entities.

• Oversee payroll implementations, transitions with providers, testing phases, and go-live procedures.

• Gather, verify, and reconcile employee and payroll information.

• Assess payroll inputs and outputs for precision and thoroughness.

• Aid in processing new hires, terminations, changes in compensation, deductions, taxes, and one-time payments.

• Ensure timely and accurate resolution of payroll issues.

• Maintain payroll calendars, checklists, approvals, reconciliations, and records that are ready for audits.

• Assist with payroll tax registrations, notifications, statutory reporting, and end-of-year tasks.

• Reconcile payroll deductions with benefits and records in the HR system.

• Collaborate with Finance, HR, portfolio leaders, EORs, and local payroll service providers.

• Identify and promptly report compliance or employee-related risks.

• Document payroll procedures and create standard protocols, templates, and controls.

• Support configuration, testing, data cleanup, and reporting of payroll systems.

• Seek opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes.

• Monitor implementation milestones, deadlines, risks, and unresolved decisions.

• Assist in standardizing payroll practices while accommodating local regulations.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in payroll administration, implementation, HR operations, accounting support, or a similar field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a relevant discipline.

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Experience in supporting acquisitions, payroll conversions, or managing a global workforce.

• Exceptional organizational skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.

• Ability to investigate discrepancies and communicate findings effectively.

• Comfortable working across various companies, countries, currencies, and time zones.

• Sound judgment in handling sensitive payroll information.

• A practical, responsive, and service-oriented mindset.
