This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure that requirements meet client specifications and comply with governmental standards utilizing formal verification methods.
• Convert high-level product development strategies into system requirements specifications and work with other engineering disciplines to develop detailed implementation requirements.
• Establish and coordinate standards, practices, and procedures associated with product development.
• Design interfaces and integrate various system elements.
• Evaluate system performance using established criteria and technical performance metrics.
• Serve as a customer liaison and assist in business development efforts to comprehend and shape requirements.
• Engage in system conceptual design and document design concepts.
• Take part in design reviews for hardware and software components while maintaining requirements traceability through compliance verification and validation.
• Examine test plans and procedures, participating in testing activities to validate requirements.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems or oversee necessary changes.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions while specifying database identifiers.
• Collaborate on database development as part of a project team, determining project scope and limitations.
• Review database project requests and provide estimates for completion time and costs.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2 is necessary.
• Prior experience in supporting Payroll applications is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens (no dual citizenship allowed).
• Ability to obtain DoD Public Trust clearance is required.
• Must have resided in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have traveled outside the United States for more than 6 months in the last 5 years; military service is excluded.
• 100% remote work flexibility.
