This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Accurately prepare, review, submit, and monitor tax filings in a timely and compliant manner.
• Facilitate the complete filing processes, encompassing reconciliations, payments, notices, amendments, and activities at quarter-end and year-end.
• Collaborate with applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in filings, notices, client inquiries, and escalations.
• Collaborate with clients as well as internal payroll, client service, and compliance teams.
• Utilize tax filing systems and reporting tools to manage tasks and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Document procedures while adhering to standard operating protocols.
• Recognize recurring issues and propose process enhancements.
• Assist in system testing, training, and implementation for new clients, workflows, or updates to systems.
• At Senior Analyst and Manager levels, provide subject matter expertise, coordinate work efforts, and assist in client meetings.
• At the Manager level, oversee team operations, mentor and develop colleagues, assess performance, and promote quality and service enhancements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in end-to-end tax filing, which includes preparation or review, submission, and resolution of filing issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with tax or financial systems.
• Preferred experience in U.S. payroll tax filings across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Prior experience in public accounting or a similar tax environment with extensive filing responsibilities is preferred.
• Client-facing experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with tax filing software; MasterTax and ADP SmartCompliance experience preferred.
• Preferred experience with quarterly and year-end filing processes, reconciliations, payments, notices, or amendments.
• An advanced degree and/or certification in a related field is preferred.
• Must have current and future work authorization in the United States without visa sponsorship from Strada.
