This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Oversee the complete payroll cycles, ensuring that processing is timely and precise.
• Authorize all payroll-related disbursements within their jurisdiction, as necessary.
• Execute audits to confirm the accuracy of payroll figures and processes.
• Prepare documentation for both external and internal audits pertaining to regional payroll.
• Guarantee accuracy in all operations while adhering to labor laws and tax obligations relevant to the country and region.
• Ensure that all payroll-related payments are executed as planned.
• Lead and manage the performance, capacity planning, and development of the payroll team.
• Supervise PTO scheduling and hiring decisions to uphold operational efficiency.
• Gather and analyze data related to payroll KPIs, such as error rates, processing duration, and feedback from internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and revise payroll process documentation, including software development workflows.
• Assist in system enhancements and troubleshooting in partnership with HRIS and IT teams.
• Monitor ServiceNow (DHR Assist) tickets, email inquiries, and benefits-related feedback to identify patterns and areas for enhancement.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to deliver payroll-related reports and insights.
• Determine the appropriate data sharing protocols with internal stakeholders.
• Direct regional payroll operations, risk management, continuous improvement, and operational governance throughout the MEDNA region.
• Report to the Director of EMEA Payroll and operate within the Corporate organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or at least 7-9 years of relevant payroll experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in processing and managing complex EMEA payrolls, with an emphasis on tax regulations, compliance, and labor laws.
• Established leadership experience and team management abilities.
• Proficient at guiding others through change and implementing new processes or standards with effective performance management.
• CPP certification.
• Strategic mindset for resolving payroll challenges with attention to timing and tax consequences.
• Demonstrated experience in managing vendor relationships.
• Expertise in payroll systems and reporting tools.
• Fluency in English along with additional European languages.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience in overseeing payroll and time system implementations, including M&A.
