This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Update payroll transaction records, which include employee withholding and direct deposits, in in-house systems.
• Review and/or input field staff timesheets against customer payroll systems and paper timesheets to ensure accurate compensation and billing.
• Monitor multiple Outlook inboxes on a daily basis and respond promptly and professionally to both internal and field staff.
• Investigate timesheet and payroll discrepancies.
• Provide backup support for other payroll team members' responsibilities as needed.
• Assist colleagues with payroll tasks during processing days.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teammates and leaders.
• Foster positive working relationships with internal staff, field personnel, and external clients/customers.
• Utilize proper email etiquette in all communications.
• Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
• The minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma.
• An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience, ideally in an in-house payroll processing setting.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare and/or staffing environment or similar experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll-related practices, including taxes and withholdings.
• Proficiency and experience with ADP WorkforceNow and Bullhorn/BTE are preferred.
• Computer literate with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to adhere to instructions and work independently.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Capacity to maintain a calm and professional demeanor during high-pressure situations.
• Effective prioritization and multitasking skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to build and sustain business relationships.
• Ability to exercise tact, discretion/confidentiality, and independent judgment to analyze and resolve work challenges.
• Proficient use of sensory skills for communication and interaction via telephone, email, video conference, and face-to-face contact.
• Competence in using office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, cameras, phones, headsets, keyboards, and mice.
• Ability to sit for extended periods at a keyboard and workstation.
• Capability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
