Payroll Specialist – RUN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer direct assistance and consulting services to payroll clients.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of payroll practices and current regulations.

• Independently handle client relationships under the guidance of the Payroll Supervisor, escalating issues when necessary.

• Ensure the accuracy of client payroll information and resolve any discrepancies.

• Review and/or process payrolls, update employee records, calculate and distribute bonuses or severance, review federal and state tax calculations, and reconcile payroll deposits, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.

• Generate reports detailing employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions for social security and unemployment benefits.

• Establish reliable client relationships and provide consultation on payroll issues.

• Uphold the confidentiality of employee information.

• Deliver technical software assistance to clients.

• Identify and document out-of-scope work while recognizing opportunities to enhance client services.

• Assist the implementation team and interview clients to ascertain payroll requirements.

• Manage new client implementation projects and educate clients on payroll procedures.

• Support and mentor new employees and less experienced staff.

• Share insights and lessons learned to enhance team capabilities.

• Research and stay informed on ADP software platforms.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred 2-year degree or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• Familiarity with ADP software platforms is advantageous.

• Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking capabilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment serving multiple clients.

• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate professionally with all levels.

• Quick learner of new technologies and processes.
