This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Accurately manage on-cycle and off-cycle payroll adjustments.
• Compute gross-to-net effects, taxes, and deductions related to payroll adjustments.
• Enter, verify, and reconcile payroll modifications prior to payroll closure.
• Document and reconcile tips, service charges, and reimbursements.
• Implement taxable and non-taxable classifications in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance and Customer Success to address discrepancies.
• Investigate and rectify W-2 suspensions and data inconsistencies.
• Analyze exception reports, pinpoint root causes, and execute corrective measures.
• Record findings and sustain audit trails.
• Handle electronic and scanned employment verification requests.
• Maintain confidential and organized records, ensuring the protection of PII.
• Adhere to and enhance payroll SOPs.
• Communicate updates, blockers, and statuses via Slack.
• Coordinate across functions to ensure seamless payroll cycles.
• Practical experience using the company’s payroll platform (mandatory requirement).
• Over 2 years of experience in U.S. payroll processing within an hourly/high-volume or comparable setting.
• Capability to calculate payroll adjustments, including tips and reimbursements.
• Proficient understanding of W-2s, withholding, and the distinction between taxable and non-taxable reimbursements.
• Strong integrity and attention to detail when managing confidential data.
• Proficient in payroll systems and spreadsheets, including data validation, lookups, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with U.S. payroll regulations and forms.
• Excellent documentation practices.
• Comfortable using Slack for communication.
• Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and error-detection capabilities.
• Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines in high-volume settings.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Discreet handling of personally identifiable information.
• A computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and either an Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor or better.
• Internet speed of at least 40MBPS.
• Noise-cancelling headset with an extended microphone and a webcam.
• Backup computer and internet connection.
• A quiet, dedicated workspace at home.
• Consistent internet connection.
• Availability for 40 hours per week, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
