This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +5 more states.
• Prepare intricate financial statements and associated reports for fund securities, encompassing Forms N-Q, 10-K, 10-Q, N-23C-2, NSAR, N-CSR, N-CEN, N-PX, and 24f-2.
• Compile quarterly reporting materials for the Board of Directors.
• Prepare and verify client accounts, financial statements, audit deliverables, accruals, tax packages, and investor reporting.
• Analyze and reconcile investment activities and financial data, including cash, expenses, income, gains, and withholding.
• Monitor fund performance and disseminate performance information to clients.
• Provide training and support to junior associates and conduct preliminary reviews.
• Prepare and manage fund budgets, including advisor reimbursements and waivers.
• Calculate monthly management fees and secure necessary approvals.
• Process fund expenses, including management and 12b-1 fees.
• Ensure SEC filings and related disclosures adhere to relevant accounting standards.
• Maintain documentation of policies and procedures in line with authoritative accounting guidance.
• Act as a first-level escalation point and address issues as they arise.
• Engage with rating agencies by releasing portfolio holdings, completing surveys, and supplying fund information.
• Maintain daily communication with the Financial Administration team regarding financial statements, reports, and compliance.
• Perform additional duties as required and assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration.
• Equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and performance systems.
• Knowledge of retail alternative investment products, including interval funds, tender offer funds, BDCs, REITs, and 34 Act private funds.
• Understanding of stocks, bonds, options, foreign securities, and derivatives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
• Creative and critical thinking abilities for effective troubleshooting.
• Strong multitasking, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Ability to articulate ideas and information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.
