This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Facilitate the semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll processing by examining, validating, and reconciling payroll information.
• Aid in the administration of payroll for the U.S., Canada, and the UK.
• Provide support for payroll tax research, reconciliation, reporting, and the resolution of issues.
• Contribute to payroll reporting and create both recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Scrutinize payroll data to identify discrepancies, exceptions, and issues that need investigation.
• Ensure that overtime and other payroll-related earnings are accurately recorded and processed.
• Analyze, audit, reconcile, and aid in resolving employee payroll concerns.
• Address employee payroll inquiries and clarify established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with Senior Payroll Specialists and take on progressively complex payroll responsibilities.
• Partner with Human Resources, Benefits, and other internal teams.
• Assist with the maintenance, testing, auditing, process improvements, and special projects related to the payroll system.
• Support additional payroll tasks as dictated by business requirements.
• Exhibit flexibility and a willingness to undertake new or unfamiliar responsibilities.
• Approximately 2–5 years of payroll experience within a corporate setting.
• Required experience in supporting payroll for a multi-state U.S. employee population.
• Proven experience with payroll taxes is necessary.
• Required experience in U.S. and Canadian payroll.
• Preferred experience supporting a larger employee population.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including skills in PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong preference for experience with UKG Pro.
• Familiarity with AI tools or technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not essential.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Quick learner of new systems, processes, and payroll concepts.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Capacity to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
