Payroll Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for managers and office personnel regarding inquiries about payroll, value calculators, and travel status.

• Prepare and execute ACH transfers and wire payments.

• Review payroll disbursements and maintain records of check numbers.

• Oversee the weekly completion of the Combined Accountability Scorecard.

• Process new garnishment orders, gift card entries, and “Our Rewards” tax benefits for field personnel.

• Print and examine payroll checks and direct deposits.

• Maintain the weekly tax report categorized by state.

• Process Helping Hands bonus payouts and make necessary adjustments.

• Provide pre-post revenue data to senior leadership.

• Communicate the underlying reasons for revenue fluctuations and assist FP&A with weekly analyses.

• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings, ongoing evaluations, annual reviews, and coaching plans for team members.

• Manage team workflow, volume, and participation in the hiring process.

• Assist revenue managers in discussions concerning pay issues for healthcare professionals.

• Escalate potential fraud concerns to Division Managers and Quality Assurance.

• Provide backup support and collaborate with payroll compliance and A/R Managers.

• Assess processes and implement more efficient practices in conjunction with other managers.

• Foster an environment that promotes high morale, motivation, and teamwork.

• Perform other assigned duties.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• Proficiency in proper grammar, spelling, and composition rules.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Capability to manage workflow and volume effectively.

• Skill in mentoring, coaching, motivating, and developing assigned team members.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Ability to organize and complete tasks promptly.

• Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficient in effective communication with all levels of the organization.

• Familiarity with computers and software systems, including Microsoft Office products and the Internet.

• Must become an expert in pay bill systems and payroll legislation.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.

• Change leadership experience and robust leadership abilities are required.

• Must be able to sit, type, and use the phone and computer for extended periods.

• Successful completion of onboarding training/tutorials and participation in future webcasts/trainings as needed is essential.

• Tax experience and knowledge are required.

• Familiarity with Dayforce and Bullhorn is preferred.
