This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee precise, timely, and compliant payroll operations for a diverse, multi-state workforce.

• Handle the complete payroll processing cycle.

• Prepare, validate, reconcile, and import payroll data from various systems and sources.

• Manage calculations for piece-rate pay, minimum wage guarantees, overtime, and other earnings.

• Conduct pre- and post-payroll audits and resolve any discrepancies.

• Investigate payroll issues, pinpoint root causes, and implement necessary corrections.

• Maintain payroll controls, reconciliations, documentation, and standard operating procedures.

• Act as the payroll subject-matter expert for ADP Workforce Now.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll and wage-and-hour regulations.

• Preserve payroll records and assist with audits and information requests.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team.

• Set expectations and accountability, foster cross-training, and document processes.

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, and field leadership to address issues and enhance processes.

• Address employee payroll inquiries.

• Identify opportunities to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and controls.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including complex payroll processing.

• 2+ years of payroll leadership, supervisory, or management experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, encompassing payroll processing, imports, reporting, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in managing multi-state payroll.

• In-depth knowledge of federal and state wage-and-hour regulations, including compliance with overtime and minimum wage laws.

• Advanced Excel skills, with experience in reconciling, validating, and analyzing large datasets.

• Experience in importing payroll data from various systems or external data sources.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proven capability to establish controls and independently verify payroll accuracy.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Preferred: experience with piece-rate, production-based, incentive-based, or other nontraditional compensation structures.

• Preferred: experience processing payroll for geographically dispersed or field-based employees.

• Preferred: familiarity with California payroll and wage-and-hour regulations.

• Preferred: experience managing high-volume payroll operations.
