
Payroll & HR Administrator – UK Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Efficiently handle accurate weekly payroll for over 200 temporary employees while adhering to deadlines.
• Examine client timesheets and attendance records for absent workers, erroneous hours, and incorrect pay rates.
• Reconcile payroll reports prior to submission and distribute payslips.
• Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes, including pay rate adjustments and deductions.
• Complete HMRC payroll submissions.
• Oversee workplace pension administration, encompassing NEST enrollments, contributions, and opt-out processes.
• Investigate and address payroll-related inquiries.
• Ensure the accuracy of payroll records and maintain comprehensive audit trails.
• Keep employee records, including right to work documentation and absence logs.
• Handle holiday requests, sickness documentation, and entitlement balances.
• Address employee questions regarding payroll, holidays, sickness, and general employment issues.
• Draft letters and documents pertaining to onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes.
• Assist in compliance efforts and general HR administrative tasks.
• Develop and enhance trackers, spreadsheets, and internal processes.
• Communicate with clients regarding missing or inaccurate payroll information.
• Promptly escalate payroll risks or discrepancies.
• Contribute to creating a seamless and professional employee experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, ideally with a focus on UK payroll.
• Essential to have previous end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience in processing weekly payroll is preferred.
• Familiarity with BrightPay is advantageous but not required.
• Experience with payroll in a recruitment agency or temporary workforce setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of PAYE, tax codes, National Insurance, and statutory payments.
• Proficiency in Sage HR, Sage Payroll, or comparable systems.
• Experience in administering NEST or workplace pensions.
• Exceptional Excel and data reconciliation capabilities.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, demonstrating a calm and professional demeanor.
• Senior-level experience with the capability to independently manage payroll responsibilities.
• Proven track record of payroll accuracy, particularly in relation to tax codes, holiday pay calculations, and NEST pension contributions.
